Sony Studios Nickel Tour - Page 2 - The Big Console - The Small Console

Let's not beat around the bush here.  So here is the big Studio A console (the big room was off-limits that day).  It's an SSL 9096J (96 channels), that they've split into sections so they could give it a nice curve.

Note the Lexicon 224 reverb on the output console and the obligatory tray of bagels in the foreground.  Those monster monitors are designed by George Augspurger, legendary studio and monitor designer.

I like this long shot.  Note the aging NS-10M speakers and my beloved Lexicon 224.  (For you Sonar users, the Pantheon reverb is the closest thing I've ever heard to the 224).

The obligatory shot of me with a hand on a fader.  Behind me is the door to the equipment room.  This control room has a large main live room, lounge and private bath and shower..

Below is another smaller SSL board shoe-horned into this smaller Studio E control room.
Once again note the NS-10Ms and the Lexicon 224.  The big speakers are Augsburgers.
