February 11, 2007. Digital Mastering of the Nails two critically albums, Mood Swing and Dangerous Dreams was completed this pact October 2006. Read about the mastering sessions, then take the Sony Studios nickel tour here.

November 25, 2006. We've weathered another marching band season (pictures and video to come). You can view a performance video of the Port Chester Legion Band in the Port Chester Columbus Day parade (October 10, 2006), which shows just how good that band has become. August 6, 2006. Of course, things happened since the previous entry. Parades, parades and more parades with the Port Chester American Legion Marching Band. I got to play the spring concert with the Port Chester Middle School Choir this past May, pictures and story are here PC Middle School Choir Spring Concert Band Camp looms it's "ugly" head.
December 23, 2005. Once again I got to perform with the Port Chester Middle School Jazz Band at their Christmas Assemblies. I got to play Mel Torme's "The Christmas Song" with a nice combo consisting of Directors Kraut, McDemott and Morenstein. Pictures and story are here.
October 8, 2005. My rock band played a triumphant gig on our return to Bobby Qs, this time we played the very popular "Rooftop." Pictures and story are here: Bobby Qs Rooftop gig. Port Chester High School Marching Band season is in full swing. I promise to update that section soon.
September 18, 2005. Finally finished a page for my September 4 (Labor Day weekend) with the Port Chester High School Jazz Band, store opening at the local mall. Pictures and story are here.
August 12, 2005. The dog days of summer. Luckily there are a few good Port Chester High School low brass players who believe in summer practice. So on July 15 I hosted the baritones (under the direction of section leader Lenny Carrera) and on August 12 I hosted the trombones under the direction of section leader Michael Kaufman. The new page necessitated a reorganization of that section now all PCHS Marching Band activities are grouped here Port Chester High School Marching Band.
July 23, 2005 - Group Therapy (my rock band) played a nice gig on July 15, 2005 you can see the pictures here Group Therapy at Bobby Qs. Last week, I hosted a baritone horn sectional for the Port Chester High School Band and this past week I hosted a trombone sectional (my son is section leader) (pictures soon). The sectional rehearsals are in anticipation of band camp which is coming in about three weeks.
June 17, 2005 - Lot's has gone on since I posted here. I joined a rock band this past January and we finally played out in April and June (Group Therapy), I played with the Port Chester Middle School Chorus in May (Middle School Chorus), I've finally done pages for the two marching bands I play with, the Port Chester American Legion Band, which is part of my music education activities and the Yonkers Military Band, a great professional operation. I've added a section dedicated to performance where you can see the photos and read all about these performance activities (Performance).

December 23, 2004 - Playing with the Port Chester Middle School Jazz Band, my second year playing with the group. In the Music Education section.
August - September 2004 - Band Camp for the Port Chester High School Marching Band. Both my kids are members. This year I coached during week one (the music week) and even ran a sectional for the trombones and baritones. It's a lot a playing from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. I needed a one hour snooze each afternoon to recover! PCHS Marching Band
July 22, 2004 - Added a new section under Music Education on the Blue Key Honorary Band Society 60th Anniversary Concert. It's always a thrill to play with a big concert band. We've been playing parades and one concert with the Port Chester Legion Band. July 4th was a parade and concert (at the Port Chester fireworks) and plenty of Firemen's Conventions. I am working on a new expanded pictorial on this organization.
June 6, 2004 - I realize that I'm way too busy to keep up any kind of regular diary (guess I'm not a "blogger" at heart). I've added a new page about my March 26, 2004 performance with the Port Chester Middle School 6th and 7th/8th Grade Choruses. Port Chester Middle School Chorus April/May we weathered NYSSMA solos (all my students did "Excellent" or better). The Legion Band had three Memorial Day parades - it felt good to honor the soldiers (regardless of how you feel about the current war).
March 13, 2004 - Played a St. Patrick's Day Parade in Stamford, Connecticut. Sleepy Hollow St. Pat's tomorrow. Added links to Wally Barrett and John Palatucci (two incredible euphonium players) with whom I played on the "Merchant Marine Band CD."
March 9, 2004 - In order to support my side in a discussion on the use of mouthpiece pressure at the On Line Trombone Journal, I videotaped myself playing an exercise to show the mechanics of my embouchure. In the Music Education Section. Trombone Mechanics
March 7, 2004 - For those interested in brass playing and low brass playing in particular, I've added a section of the Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy Band recording sessions I did about a year ago. I've posted 3 MP3s from the CD for your listening enjoyment. Music of Marines
I've re-vamped the "various picture" page. I've added a few new photos including some historical from my High School and college rock band days. Also added (although there is no real info because I started it today) is a "revision history" page.
Note to Nails music fans. Every month I get a few visitors who spend up to an hour here. I'd like to hear from any of you (info@gmkmg.com). What are you downloading? Why? Who are you? I'd like to know.
