Digi-Frame DF-560 Electronic Picture Frame

I was a co-founder of the company and co-developer of the line of  Digi-Frame products.  The DF-560 electronic digital picture frame is the most elaborate device I've been involved with in terms of research, design and engineering, sales and marketing and distribution.  Our company, developed, manufactured and distributed.  The product was distributed nationally in Best Buy, Target, Fry's, Neiman Marcus, J&R, B&H and a number of camera and video web retailers.  Price was a problem at USD$579.00 MSRP the unit was very expensive but it was the Dot-Com boom years and the mood was one of free-spending.  We wanted to get the price down to $199.99 but materials, especially LCD screens were very expensive back then.  While the product was successful, the company was not.  But I've retained my contacts in the consumer retail and consumer electronics business.

The unit was feature rich, could show pictures directly from camera memory cards or you could download from a serial connection (remember those).  The unit was both PC and Macintosh compatible.

Packaged in a beautiful 4-color retail box.

The unit featured interchangeable frames (silver, wood grain and I-Mac blue (not shown).  The wood grain
process was a unique laminting system where, like real wood, no two patterns were alike.
